Admissions Policy

Admission

Children on the waiting list will be accepted into the School according to the following criteria:

  1. Current families

  2. Availability of places in the School

  3. Date of registration on the waiting list

Age

Children beginning the SMS must be beginning Reception Class in the state sector and be  aged four/five years old.

Children of all ages are accepted into the School depending on availability of places.


Enrolment of older children

Parents/guardians of children who enrol into the older classes are expected to support their children so that they can catch up with the class they are in. Close contact with class teachers is essential in order to be given work that the children have missed in earlier years.


Items required on entry

Reception and & Class 1 will be given exercise books. Workbooks and tapes will need to be purchased.

Classes 2-6 and GCSE will need to provide their own A4 folder and paper and purchase text books relevant for their year.

All children will need to provide their own pencils, pens, and rubber.
